ARIZONA HAWKS
AUSTRALIAN RULES FOOTBALL CLUB
The Arizona Hawks winning start to the 2025 season continues!
The Arizona Hawks women continued the clubs winning start to the 2025 season with a strong performance at the 2025 California Cup in Sacramento, California. It has been almost six years since a women’s team has worn the Arizona Hawks club colors in a USAFL match, and the women did not disappoint opening the weekend with a convincing victory over the hosting Sacramento Suns 8.10.58 to 2.2.14. The Arizona Hawks then followed up with a strong performance against the USAFL 2024 Women’s Division 1 Runner’s Up Golden Gate Iron Maidens, ultimately being defeated 3.3.21 to 7.8.50 allowing the Maidens to claim the 2025 Women’s California Cup.
The women’s victory over the Sacramento Suns followed the Hawks men’s win over the San Diego Lions and a coed team victory over the Orange County Giants to start the season.
Next up, the Arizona Hawks men and women will compete in the USAFL Western Regionals Tournament to be played in Westminster, Colorado, on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
