Arizona Hawks Women Triumphant at 2025 USAFL Nationals Tournament!
The Arizona Hawks finished a successful 2025 Season at the USAFL Nationals in Tucson, Arizona, with the women claiming the Women’s Division 2 National Championship, and the men following up their Western Regional Division 3 Championship as runner’s up in the Men’s Division 3 National Championship. The Arizona Hawks women, supported by women from the San Diego Lions, Orange County Giants and North Star Blue Ox played spirited football in all four of their matches, ultimately defeating the Portland Sockeye in the Women’s Division 2 Grand Final to claim their National Championship! The Arizona Hawks men were victorious in all three pool matches against the Columbus Cats, Chicago Swans and Nashville Kangaroos, respectively, to secure a place in the Men’s Division 3 Grand Final. However, injuries sustained by two key midfielders in the earlier matches gave the combined team of the Boston Demons and Philadelphia Hawks an advantage that they successfully exploited to defeat the valiant home team. Three Arizona Hawks players were acknowledged for their outstanding performances in the tournament with individual best and fairest awards!
The Tucson Sentinel published an excellent article about the 2025 USAFL Nationals tournament featuring several photos of the Arizona Hawks men and women in action.
