About the Arizona Hawks
The men and women of the Arizona Hawks Australian Rules Football Club compete in the United States Australian Football League (USAFL) with more that 40 other clubs from across the USA and Canada. Playing Australian Rules Football (Aussie Rules) provides our men and women the opportunity to learn a unique, fast-paced, exciting sport that utilizes a wide range of skills, builds confidence and character, and promotes personal well-being and fitness while also teaching the value of teamwork, camaraderie and preparation in achieving success. Established in 1999, the Arizona Hawks has a 20+ year legacy of development and participation in Aussie Rules in Arizona.
In 2021, over 40 men and women actively participated in Arizona Hawks games, scrimmages and/or practices, culminating in the club winning the USAFL Men’s Division III National Championship. In 2022, we finished as runners-up in the USAFL Men’s Division III National Championship with three of our players receiving USAFL awards as best and fairest players, and 2023 saw continued success with another strong performance by our men and women at the USAFL National Championship. In 2024, as we celebrate our 25th season, the Arizona Hawks will again proudly represent Arizona in the USAFL, including scheduled matches with the Orange County Giants, San Diego Lions and Los Angeles Dragons, as well as participation in the Western Regional Tournament in Salt Lake City and the USAFL National Tournament in Austin.
Off the field, we have over 1,200 active supporters following the club through various social media. Many of our supporters cheer on the club at home games against visiting teams or participating in social events including Australia Day celebrations in January and our AFL Grand Final Party in September.
